Our office has developed a very proactive and award winning Preventative Care program, which is led by Carolyn Smith, staff member and local fitness professional. This program involves Carolyn contacting patients, especially those who do not book regular check-ups, to inform you of any tests and screening recommendations, discussing appropriate action if necessary and helping to facilitate the process. There will be no charge for this additional service.
The program will also provide patients the opportunity to discuss, if you wish, any issues related to your current physical fitness, health and wellness. Resources to assist you in making lifestyle changes to improve your health will be available to you, as well as follow up communication to check on your progress. Carolyn will be contacting our patients on behalf of Dr. Carson and will be informing him of all issues that have been discussed. Carolyn will not be independently dispensing medical advice; she will merely facilitate our patients to achieve your optimal health by extending advice approved by Dr. Carson.
Dr. Carson previews Carolyn's template for each patient and then reviews it again after the PC1 call. Test requisitions are created and then after those tests are completed, a shorter office visit with Dr. Carson is booked. At that PC2 visit a much briefer physical exam is done, any immunization is given and blood pressure measurement is completed, followed by a debrief on test results, and concerning issues are discussed. Results are available to patients using our new secure messaging system. Be sure to confirm your PIN with our office staff.
Carolyn emails patients to elicit your interest and arrange call times. If you are interested in this service or would like more information please call us.
